Falcon Update
December 2, 2009
On Friday December 4, at approximately 9:30 am, the UC Santa Cruz Predatory Bird Research Group will be replacing the current nest box for the Falcons at City Hall. The current nest box has been in use for several years and is showing wear. Additionally, studies have shown that old nesting material (gravel) can lead to a decrease in hatch rates. For more information, visit the City Hall Falcons website at http://www.sanjoseca.gov/falcons/index.asp .

One-Day Regional Parks Closures to Begin November 30
November 9, 2009
As part of the City of San Jose’s Budget Reduction Plan four of the City of San Jose’s regional parks, Alum Rock Park, Almaden Lake Park, Overfelt Gardens, and Prusch Farm Park, will close on Mondays beginning November 30, 2009.
